Bettina Seidman is an experienced career management coach and outplacement consultant and in 1990 founded her own firm, SEIDBET Associates, offering customized career counseling, professional coaching, and outplacement consulting services to individuals and groups in corporate and nonprofit organizations. As an independent career coach, Bettina has developed and conducted workshops and partnered individual clients in development of successful career and job search strategies. She also coaches clients in improving presentation, negotiation, and political skills. She has expertise working with clients in professions and industries including law, financial services, technology, direct marketing, retailing, engineering, graphic arts, and entertainment, and in the nonprofit sector in healthcare and advocacy organizations.
Bettina has worked with national outplacement firms managing career centers, counseling senior level candidates, and conducting job transition workshops. She currently consults to The Ayers Group, a major metropolitan area outplacement firm.
Before devoting her time exclusively to career management consulting, Bettina worked in the field of human resources and labor relations in corporate and nonprofit organizations.

She is a frequent public speaker and panelist with engagements including National Investor Relations Institute, CCC/Wall Street Journal Interactive, NYSAE, Fifty Plus Expo, Women in Direct Marketing, New York City Public Library Career Seminar Series, Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church Job Hunt Series, and The New York City and New Jersey Bar Associations.
Bettina has written for newspapers and online services on the subject of careers. She has recently been featured in Smart Money, Enterprise Management Magazine, the AICHE Journal, Graduating Engineer & Computer Careers, The Los Angeles Times, and Newsday, and has appeared on Oxygen Cable TV and in several radio interviews. Recently, she was a featured speaker for NY Society for Administration Executives We Love New York Day and at Pink Slip Boot Camp at The Learning Annex. Bettina has been a part-time Instructor at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College, and Baruch College, and has presented seminars and workshops at City University Law School and Queens College.
In addition to holding an MBA in Industrial Psychology, a BA in Psychology, a Certificate in Labor Relations, Bettina has completed training in career assessment and career coaching. She is Myers-Briggs Qualified, Certified in 360 Feedback, has studied masterful coaching with Robert Hargrove, and has recently completed the PeopleSmart training. She keeps her knowledge and skills up-to-date through involvement in many professional organizations. Bettina is a Board Member of the New York Association of Career Management Professionals (NYACMP), Corporate Secretary and Founding Member of the Career Counselors Consortium (CCC), Co-Chair Speaker's Bureau New York Chapter International Coaching Federation, and a member of Association for Psychological Type (APT), Career Development Specialists Network (CDSN), and American Women's Ecomonic Development Corporation (AWED). Bettina is a native of New York City and is active in her community.
